Problem Introduction
The problem a social enterprise startup is trying to solve is the most important since it determines the market size, the minimal viable product, and the talent a startup needs. Hence, here is the introduction to the problem we are solving now.
Most of us agree that climate change is a human-made crisis.
It is a growing, urgent global problem that will increase the number of irreversible disasters if we don’t take action now.
Accordingly, many ecosystem stakeholders propose different solutions to solve the problem. Despite the hard work, our current progress is not fast enough to limit the temperature rise below 2 degrees Celsius.
After several reflections, our current climate ecosystem problem has at least 3 layers:
- Current Climate Responsibility Problem
- Decarbonization without Nature Biodiversity
- Climate Action Movement without Finance
All these layers together make climate change a systemic problem that is hard to solve.

Role Description & Current Tech Stack
This is a CTO role who executes with coding. You will contribute substantially of your time on the following fields:
- Build up the Company’s mobile product and service with sustainability design.
- Conduct all sustainable generative artificial intelligence-related work with software monitoring.
- Ensure the Company’s products and services are provided with robust security practices.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks from system failures.
- Lead the cross-team collaboration with data insights and quarterly improvement plans
- Implement the Company’s technology strategy with scalability potential.
- Develop a standard operating procedure guidance for all the responsibilities on the Notion workspace.
- Work diligently on all other business aspects reasonably required to achieve the Company's long-term success.
The experience and knowledge above will help us build our first minimal viable product. As our startup evolves, you will cooperate with the core founder team to work on green mobile app full stack development, user authentication, backend database, cyber security policy, green IT infrastructure development, API/SDK integration & automation, Model Context Protocol(MCP), privacy protection, quality assurance, quality control, product development, project management, feature prioritization, software architecture, quality assurance, software reliability testing, and fintech regulation.

- Software Toolkit: Notion, Firebase, Docker, Github, Voiceflow, Civic ID/Civic Auth, Rows, Supabase/MongoDB/Firebase
- Required Language: Java Script | Mobile App | Green Software | MCP & GraphQL | Integration & Automation | Python.
- LinkedIn Promotion Requirements: 7 Posts/Month, Personal/Business Mix Depends on The Needs
Commitment & Compensation
As a co-founder, the compensation should not be your primary joining driver. Here are the expected commitment & the potential compensation.
Stage 1: Founder Associate(Technical)
- Trial Cooperation: Outcome-based agreed by both parties
- Location: Global Remote, but must be flexible to stay in SF for up to 6 months/year(based on the business arrangement)
- Time Commitment: Full Commitment as a startup CTO
- Financial Commitment: Equally covers the monthly business expenses
- All Benefits: After closing the funding round
- Salary Amount: 3,000USD/month net salary with inflation adjustment
- Equity Compensation: 1% with 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff
- Working Type: Employer of Record(EOR)
- Healthcare Insurance: Comply with any health insurance regulations required by law.
- US 401(K) Retirement: Basic US 401(K) Retirement Plan with Free Access to Our Optivide Paid Service.
Stage 2: Chief Technology Officer
- Financial Commitment: 10,000USD to reserve the CTO benefits
- Salary Amount: 4,000USD/month net salary with inflation adjustment
- After Operational Breakeven: 5,000-8,500USD/month
- Business Annual Cash and Cash Equivalent Exceeds the Past 2 Years Annual Operational Cost On a Rolling Basis: 9,000-15,000USD/month
- Equity Compensation: 21% in Total, including 1% previously
- Equity Grant: 12% with 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff
- Equity Purchase: 8% with a fixed price(5,000USD for 1%) and 2-year cliff
- Working Type: 1-time fully sponsored visa(O1-A | Parole)
